3 Days Maasai Mara Wildebeest Migration

The 3 Days Maasai Mara Wildebeest Migration is an exclusive Safari Package that will give you an opportunity to spot the Big 5 Mammal species in their natural habitat which include lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes and Rhinos as well as an opportunity to witness one of the remarkable 7 wonders of the World as you will see over millions of Wildebeest crossing Mara river which occurs between July and October.

Maasai Mara National Reserve is located in the South Western region of Kenya along the Great Rift Valley area in Norok County Kenya adjacent to Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. Maasai Mara National Reserve was established in 1961 as a wildlife sanctuary covering an area of 520 sqkm of the current Mara Triangle.  Later it was converted into a Game Reserve and by 1984 the park had a total area of 1510sqkm. The park is dotted with acacia trees, shrubs and bushes and has 2 draining rivers which are Maasai Mara River and Talek River.

A unique wildlife conservation haven famous for its Natural diversity of wildlife like the Big 5 mammals which are Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes and Rhinos in large numbers as well as other mammals like Cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, duikers, impala hartebeests, roan antelopes, topi, wildebeest and Thomson’s gazelles. Also boosts of over 500 bird species like Bateleur, Secretary bird, Schawlow’s turaco, Abdim’s stork, Hammerkops, Temminck’s courser, Southern ground hornbill, Usambiro barbet, Saddle-billed stork, Giant kingfisher, Woolly-necked stork, Black-headed heron, Giant kingfisher, African jacana, Crowned lapwing, Malachite kingfisher, Grey-headed kingfisher among others. Maasai Mara National Reserve is also famous for its annual Wildebeest Beast Migration where Millions of these creatures migrate from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park which occurs between July and October making it one of the 7 Wonders of the World.

 

Day 1: Pick up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Hotel – Drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve – Maasai Cultural Encounter

The 3 Days Maasai Mara Wildebeest Migration Safari will begin with a pick up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Hotel by our Professional driver guide from Paradise Adventure Vacations who will meet and greet you, he will then brief you about your entire Safari and thereafter drive you to Maasai Mara National Reserve located in Southern Western Kenya. This drive will take approximately 5 hours offering you scenic views of the highlands and the Great Rift Valley below. Upon reaching, you will check into your accommodation for a delicious lunch and have relaxation. Later in the evening, you will embark on an evening encounter with the Maasai Community living around the park.

Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Full day Wildebeest Migration Experience 

After your delicious breakfast, you will embark on an encounter with Maasai Mara’s Wildebeests at Mara River. While here, you will enjoy watching millions of Wildebeests and Zebras migrating from Serengeti National Park to Maasai Mara while crossing the Mara River amidst the big Nile Crocodiles waiting to grab food, here you will witness survival for the fittest as lions are on the other hand waiting at the river banks for the same.

This experience is an unforgettable one since you will watch these creatures searching for greener pastures. You will enjoy a packed lunch in the reserve while maximizing your time with the migrating Herds. You will continue with your exploration of Maasai Mara reserve and search for more wildlife like giraffes, duikers, impala, hartebeests, roan antelopes, Topis, Thomson’s gazelles, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants among others. Later in the evening, you will enjoy the sunset as you drive back to your accommodation for your dinner and overnight while searching for leopards and cheetahs.

Day 3: Morning Game drive – Transfer back to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Hotel

Your final day of the 3 Days Maasai Mara Wildebeest Migration Safari will start with a leisurely breakfast and thereafter embark on a Morning Game drive as you exit the park, this drive will give you an opportunity to view some mammal species that you missed out to see on the previous day. Later proceed with an enroute lunch stopover to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch up with your departure flight or to your Hotel for another night in Nairobi City.

Paradise Adventure Vacations Ltd offering all-wheel drive safari vehicles suitable for off-road driving, which enable travelers to discover the magical areas of East Africa in a pleasant and reliable manner.

Our fleet consists of 4×4 Toyota Land cruisers with a hinged roof and skylights above the front seats. The hinged roof offers two main advantages: it provides shade without restricting the view, so that you can enjoy your safari even in the very sunny hours of the day. It also allows a 360-degree all-round view.
