These 4 Days Kidepo Valley Fly-In Safari Holiday Uganda takes you to one of the most remote safari destinations in Africa. Kidepo Valley National Park is tucked away in the semi-arid Karamoja region in the north eastern corner of Uganda, more than 500km from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. The park has continuously been ranked by travel publications as one of the top safari destinations in Africa, mostly notable for its stunning scenery of golden savannah plains, surrounded by the rugged landscape of hills and mountains. Kidepo Valley National Park offers amazing animal watching, and several animals cannot be found in other parks in Uganda, such as the cheetah and the aardwolf. Other animals include: giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, buffalo, antelopes, etc…
But even with all this beauty, few people visit Kidepo Valley because it requires a 10+ hour drive from Kampala to the park. This fly-in trip offers the remedy with a 1-hour flight from Kampala to Kidepo, enabling you to get to Kidepo early and fresh, so you to enjoy this pristine wilderness that has not been spoiled by mass tourism. The flight into Kidepo treats to breathtaking aerial views over the stunning landscape.
The best time to visit Uganda is from June to August and December to February, which are the Dry seasons. Wildlife viewing is at its peak then. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Uganda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet, and you can’t avoid rain completely. However, after heavy rain, the skies often open up to bright sunshine.
Uganda is a safe country to visit, especially when your part of an organized game drive with private guides, as you will be with us. But – as with everywhere else in the world – you’ll be fine by taking some precautions. Just some examples to be on the safe side, pun intended, don’t explore the city at night without a driver or guide, keep your valuables close to you, avoid wearing prominent and visible jewelry, and leave some things like passports in the hotel safe.
