Mutanda Lake Resort

Mutanda Lake Resort a mid-range lodge that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, adventure, and relaxation. This eco-lodge offers an escape into the heart of Africa’s wilderness, where the symphony of nature awaits every visitor.

Mutanda Lake Resort is like a masterpiece painting. Verdant hills roll into the horizon, crowned by the majestic peaks of the Virunga Mountains. Below lies Lake Mutanda, its azure waters shimmering under the African sun. This setting sets the stage for an unforgettable retreat where every moment is infused with the essence of the wild.

Perched on a Lake Mutanda peninsula in the shadow of the Virunga Mountains, the resort offers comfortable accommodation combined with the most beautiful views on planet earth. It is a perfect base for gorilla trackers, lake loungers, volcano hikers and bird lovers as well as those looking for a mystical place in nature.

The resort has 13 en- suite cottages which are spaciously set up and stretches into Lake Mutanda. Our cottages each come with private veranda and en-suite bathroom. We offer single, double/twin and family/triple rooms with comfortable beds and mosquito nets. Enjoy the view from our balcony as the sun rises behind the mountains and sets into the Lake.

Indulge in a feast of flavors, with each dish crafted from locally sourced ingredients, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Uganda. As the sun dips below the horizon, sip on a refreshing cocktail, recounting the day’s adventures amidst the company of fellow travelers. The warm hospitality of the resort’s staff ensures that every moment is infused with comfort and care, leaving you with cherished memories to last a lifetime. The restaurant resembles a Swiss chalet with an African Touch.
