This Hotel became operational in 1948 during the colonial time under Governor Cohen who lived in the current State House. This place had been designed to be his recreational center. He named it Lake Victoria Hotel, after the lake which was also named after the Queen of England, Queen Victoria. On her visit to Uganda in 1958, The Queen of England resided in this Hotel.
Meanwhile located on the shores of Africa’s largest fresh water lake “Lake Victoria” amidst the lush landscapes of Entebbe Uganda. The Hotel’s restaurant showcase the vibrant flavors of Ugandan and continental Cuisines, with fresh locally sourced ingredients transformed into appetizing dishes. We also have a’ la carte menus. Our Buffet served at three newly refurbished outlets. The hotel serves morning and afternoon tea/coffee brewed and spiced with assorted pastries and served with a selection of snacks.
