They're efficient and very warm people :) WARNING: This is a long review, but if you’re unsure about PAV like I once was, I hope it helps you decide to give them a shot. I received absolutely zero money, discounts, or incentives to write this. Everything below comes from my own experience.I was initially very hesitant about booking my trip with Paradise Adventure Vacations. As it is the case of someone wanting to travel to Africa the most efficient way, I knew I wanted to do it through a local tour operator, and I understand that this is the part that potentially scares a lot of people, mainly because there are A LOT of options (Uganda only has around a thousand tour companies) and in the end it comes to a matter of trusting a company with (as it was my case) the trip of your dreams. Initially some of the reviews I’d read online, yes, even on this very platform, left me with doubts. I wasn’t sure if I was making the right decision or if I was dealing with a real company. But now that I’ve completed the journey, I can say without hesitation: those reviews do not do this company justice.For some context: I first contacted PAV back in 2023 to plan a personalized family trip to Kenya and Uganda, which unfortunately didn’t come to fruition. This time, I ventured to Africa solo to do a shortened version of that same trip, and I’m so glad I gave them another chance. What really stood out to me was the fact that they remembered me and the trip we were planning. This gave me more confidence to venture forward with Paradise Adventure Vacations.From the moment I arrived in Entebbe, everything was handled with care and professionalism. Mussa (the owner) was always in contact with me, responding to my many questions with patience, clarity, and genuine concern. That level of communication is incredibly reassuring when you’re traveling far from home, especially alone (mind you this is not my first solo trip abroad). Allan and James, my driver-guides in Uganda and Kenya, were phenomenal. They were not only efficient and knowledgeable but also thoughtful, kind, and always looking out for my well-being. They made me feel not just like a client, but like a welcomed guest. I was never left unattended and was always welcomed with a smile and a sincere wish that I was enjoying the trip. What stood out the most, however, was PAV’s ability to truly personalize the experience. I had requested a specific overland (via bus) transfer between Kenya and Uganda, something that wasn’t the most logistically convenient. Most companies would have either declined or pushed back. But Mussa found a way to make it work, simply because he understood that this was important to me in terms of budget. In Nairobi, we even took a last-second detour to downtown because I had a personal necessity. Both Mussa and James agreed to do it and even provided help along the way.This is where PAV really shines: delivering the experience you’re looking for, not just a copy-paste itinerary. They went above and beyond on multiple occasions, even making last-minute changes outside of the original plan just to make sure I was having the best time possible. That kind of flexibility and dedication is rare and invaluable. I also believe that unless you have a need for following a schedule to the letter, something that helps a lot while traveling to Africa is keeping your mind open and flexible to the possibilities. After all, you don't do appointments with nature. I can say that PAV has now become my go-to company for travel in Africa, and can confidently trust that when I return, I’ll be booking with them again...no questions asked!If you’re considering traveling with PAV, do it. We booked in December 2023 with a good price with the owner Moses Lubega. Quick communications and seemingly everything perfect. We agree on advances and payments. After a few months we are asked for a second deposit not previously agreed because the hotel facilities wanted the balance of reservations. We pay.10days before departure we are told that the trip is at risk due to floods by sending us fake links. In the end they propose to move the trip to November because they say that at least it does not rain (November is the height of the rainy season), then they raise the price of $800 to make the trip saying that they have miscalculated. We had everything ready and we accept with payment on arrival. Upon arrival they are present but the car breaks down. They replace her. Our bank transfer arrived two days later, to leave the driver wants the money. We'll frontload with Moses' promise to give them back as soon as the wire transfer arrives.The trip is fine even if some things planned and paid for we did not do for a total of $450.He never gave us the money back and never showed up for appointments. So many lies and excuses.To date, he continues to tell lies and has not yet returned the money despite an official complaint and official recalls from the UTB tourism board.He even sent us a receipt for a FAKE wire transfer!Don't rely on them! I experienced a fantastic 10-day safari with Paradise Adventure Vacations in Uganda. Every minute was remarkable, from the amazing wildlife encounters to the informed and excellent guide Robert. The accommodations were excellent. We were able to unwind and enjoy the trip because safety and individualised attention were given first priority. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to track endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was the high point. I heartily suggest Paradise Adventure Vacations for an amazing safari. Everything was amazing
We are grateful that Paradise Adventure Vacation hosted and looked after us. Every day was an amazing event we will never forget, and everything was meticulously arranged beforehand. Bukenya, our guide, always looked out for us and made our trip one to remember. Everything was amazing, including the chimpanzee and gorilla trekking, Queen Elizabeth, Mburo, the wildlife drives at Murchison Falls, and the pickup in Entebbe. Bukenya usually gave us informational descriptions of the creatures and showed us where to find them. This trip will always be in our memories. When Steven with Paradise Adventure Vacations picked us up, the trip got off to a great start and continued to be so! We were aware when we made our reservation that there would be a lot of travelling between Entebbe and Bwindi, but Steven took care to pause and show us all he could along the way, which broke up the journey and gave us an incredible experience! I can only hope to be able to repeat this complete vacation someday because the gorilla trekking was better than I could have imagined, the lodgings were lovely, clean, and hospitable, and the environment was breathtaking! 8-day customized safari
My husband and I just returned home from an 8-day safari with Paradise Adventure Vacations that was truly the time of our lives. The staff ensured that we missed nothing on the trip and worked hard to make it a fantastic experience for us from planning until the very last day. Mussa was very communicative in the planning process, helping us customize the trip we hoped for. Our guide, Robert, was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and he worked tirelessly to get us out for game drives at just the right time to catch some of the harder-to-find game like tree-climbing lions in Ishasha and the greater Queen Elizabeth park, as well as leopards. Uganda dominates the primate scene, and Bwindi and Kibale delivered on this, putting us within feet of mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. We can't say enough about how comfortable the lodging was, and possibly one of the biggger shocks of the trip was how great the food was at every site. Amazing experience
It was 10 days of safari to visit the splendid national parks of Uganda! I certainly wouldn't have imagined that this state could be so beautiful regarding the territory, the animals and the people we met! The experience was rich from all points of view, we were accompanied by a person, Hannington, throughout our journey who helped us as a driver, as a guide and as a friend, also giving us excellent advice, advice and advice!
