Source of River Nile
The source of the River Nile is generally considered to be Lake Victoria, which is located in East Africa and borders Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
The Nile River is the longest river in the world. Stretching over 6,650 kilometers (4,132 miles) from Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean Sea.
Lake Victoria is a big part of Uganda’s ecosystem because it is the biggest lake in Uganda and also cuts across Kenya and Tanzania. The lake is also crossed by the equator in Uganda and Kenya. And this explains the existence of the equatorial climate in Uganda. Which explains the hot and wet seasons all year round with low temperature ranges.
The source of the Nile carries so much relevancy to the locals who refer to it for cultural relevancy and importance as believed by their ancestors. For instance the Baganda and Basoga of Uganda refer to the lake as Nalubaale which means mother of guardian gods. Thus therefore the source of the
Nile. Is a great destination for cultural and traditional tours.
Lake Victoria on the other hand offers boat tours to the tourist. And also acts as a mode of transport from one point to another .
The source also has several island destinations like the Ssese Islands. Which is a popular holiday destination majorly for relaxed tours little or no activities involved like honeymoon tours. At Paradise Adventure Vacations we offer all the adrenaline rush activities such as bungee jumping, water rafting, water sliding among others.
